Order placed with merchant

I bought some items from JD store, but the order didn't successfully go through meaning it says on PayPal order placed with merchant but JD being the merchant don't have any record of the payment nor any trace of the delivery so my money is stuck pending with merchant but I cant refund it, ive messed the JD store and they cannot so anything as the payment or delivery hasn't gone through. I need help

When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.

Hi @Narumol26,

 

If the order status is "Pending", your order has been received by the seller, but your payment has not yet been processed. For most purchases, the seller will complete the payment within a few days of receiving the order. For purchases of goods, many sellers will complete the payment when they are ready to ship your purchase. For some purchases, such as services, rentals, or hotel stays, the seller will complete the payment after your purchase is fully delivered.

 

An order or authorization is an agreement between you and the merchant to purchase an item for a set amount, and PayPal doesn't have the ability to cancel that agreement. Orders and authorizations typically expire in 30 days.

It’s the beginning of December now and I have had a payment pending since mid September. I am not really sure what to do about it. Has the money gone out or is it just going to disappear one day unannounced!

I just placed an order with Urban Outfitters and I checked out with PayPal. After filling in all my information, I clicked 'submit order,' but it said something about having troubles with PayPal. I was redirected to my cart to fill in a different payment method, but PayPal said the money is "placed with merchant." Does this mean I have to order the clothes again, or do I have to wait for the payment to go through? I never received an email or text from Urban Outfitters with a receipt of my order. So I'm not sure what to do.

yes i just had this problem! i looked at the my orders section on the urban outfitters app and its not there ugh idk what to do

So In the end did you really lose that money ? I just now noticed 2 months later I have a $294 finish line order that says order placed with merchant and im just trying to figure out if they actually took out the money
