Unable to make payment from my account balance

Hello. I have a problem trying to make an online payment using funds available in my account balance and verified my account years ago. I've already set my preferred payment method to use my account balance, but when I go to the checkout terminal to process the payment, I keep getting asked to enter my card details. I would be very grateful for your assistance since I need to make an urgent payment. I currently don't have an active card. Thank you

As you have not added your country to your profile (so we can see when we hover over your username) or said in your post which country you are in then sadly can't advise.
Paypal varies a great deal country to country so you need to tell us where you are on this worldwide community forum.
