Tried to make a payment online for an item. When through checkout with PayPal. Selected card, no problem. Returned to basket and saw there was an extra item. Removed that and confirmed order. Declined due to lack of funds. Strange. Checked balance and PayPal took the amount with the extra item but no signs on PayPal history and retail site says I did not complete the order. Help?
The transaction at your bank is a pending temporary authorization and should expire on its own and drop off from your account activity in no longer then 30 days but no sooner than 3 or so if the order is not completed/failed and the merchant cannot capture payment. IF by chance it does complete or post, call your bank to dispute it.
