If there is a currency conversion and refund was issued beyond the date of payment, the going rate of conversion on date of refund is used, not the original rate on date of payment so you may lose some value.
And in some cases, depending on the country and reason for the refund, the seller may take it upon themselves to deduct the PayPal fee because PayPal is starting to no longer refund PayPal fees.
