PayPal Credit Balance automatically used on PayPal purchases.

I thought I had this problem corrected.  I receive a monthly payment from another PayPal user and anything that I purchase afterward uses that credit balance toward whatever I've just purchased.  This messes up keeping track of these PP user payments and I don't want that money used for purchases.  Can you advise, please?

Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > second down click on update next to your prefered way to pay and put a dot in one of the options listed.
