Missing refund from Airbnb

So I requested to book an apartment from Airbnb, and the money was taken from my paypal (connected to my debit card, doesn't have it's own balance) before the host accepted. The offer expired because the host never got back to me, and I have yet to get my money back. Airbnb say they refunded the money to Paypal, but my Paypal balance is 0 and my debit card hasn't been refunded... Also, it's been a month. 

 

Has this happened to anyone?

Hi @picklejuice,

 

I'm sorry to hear that you have not received an expected refund. If you check your transaction history from the date of the original payment through today, do you see either a refund or a received payment? If there is no line indicating a refund, then the merchant did not send the refund or they sent it to the wrong email address. Please double-check for the refund line. If it's not there, contact the merchant. If you do see the refund line, that will indicate whether the refund was sent back to the payment method or if it was a received payment that may have subsequently been spent on another transaction.

How long did it to take to resolve issue? I’m currently going through the same thing however the transaction disappeared from my activity.
