Missing Transaction Payment

Sent Payment to a friend but sent to wrong person. The person clicked on it and proceeded to send the same amt back to me instead of refunding. I did not get the $20 she sent and there is no sign of it anywhere in my acct, I saw the screen shot of payment and it was sent to an old business contact that I used to have and do not anymore. Where is it? I do not know. She says she can not get it back and neither can I since we can not find it. help

That money is associated with that old business contact email address now. Was that email address ever registered to a PayPal Account? If not, then the sender should be able to cancel the payment from their PP account or if unclaimed at that email address after 30 days it will go back to the person who sent it there. If someone has access to that email address, could claim the money by opening a new PayPal Account or adding that email address to an existing PayPal Account.
