How long does a refund on a PayPal Credit statement take to update?

A few hours ago, I made a pre-order with GAME that cost me £80 via PayPal Credit. 

However, a few minutes after I decided to change the payment type on the order via the GAME website from Pay with PayPal Credit to Pay with Card.

At this point, the £80 had already been added to my statement as ‘Pending’ through PayPal Credit. However, when I saw that the PayPal statement wasn’t updating, I (and this was silly on my part) decided to cancel the order all together through GAME. How long will this take to update on the statement to show that my order was cancelled?

Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! Thank you for reaching out in regards to a pending transaction. If a transaction is cancelled but you still see a pending authorization on the account, this can be due to a latency with the merchant reflecting the cancelled transaction. On average the merchant will update to show the payment as cancelled within 3-5 business days. However,  if the transaction still reflects a pending authorization after 30 calendar days feel free to contact PayPal Customer Support to look into options to potentially void the authorization.
