I requested and was sent money from a friend and it's being treated as a sale

Thank you for your post while and welcome to the Community!

If a payment that you received has been treated as a sale, it may be that your counterpart sent the payment as 'Goods and Services'. If this is the case, I would recommend refunding the payment and asking the sender to send another payment with the option 'Friends and Family'.
