Fee and Invoices

Can someone please help me. I’m fairly new to eBay. However I don’t understand. When I sell a product on eBay I get a certain amount deducted which is called a ‘fee’ and then every month I get a email from eBay with my monthly invoice. Is this correct? Should I be charged twice in terms of PayPal fee and EBay invoice. I do understand they are separate companies. Thanks in advance

Hi @graceeliza99

I understand your concern regarding the fees being charged for the items you are selling.

To answer your question, both PayPal and EBay charge you fees for selling. EBay has a monthly fee charge for your sales for the month and PayPal assesses a payment fee on each transaction you receive as Goods & Services which would include your EBay sales. PayPal's base transaction fee for US accounts is 2.9% + 30 cents USD.

I hope you find this information helpful!
