I received a message from my bank confirming a credit card transaction PayPal, although that I have never linked my Master card to my PayPal account. Is it possible that my credit card was added by another account? Please advise Thanks Please advise

Report the transaction as unauthorized with your card issuer.
Somehow this card was compromised and a charge was made at a merchant that uses PayPal to process their payments, likely the card was used via PayPal guest checkout.
Or you paid a merchant in person who uses PayPal as their payment processor.
Just because "PayPal" is on the transaction description, does not mean it is connected to a PayPal account because if your card was linked to a PayPal account, a temporary charge with 4-digit PayPal code has to appear in your bank account activity prior.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
