Was hoping someone would be able to help. I sent some money to a friend but realised when I sent it I missed a dot out of the email address. I cancelled the payment quickly (about 5-10 minutes max) and this went through. The money has been taken out of my bank account but the refund back to me is still sitting as pending. I'm concerned that as this email address doesn't exist, then my refund won't be authorised. I can't open a case on the refund either so I'm struggling to get any help with this. It's not a huge amount of money but I could use it!
It takes some time for bank payments to be refunded. Give it 3-5 business days. If you sent with bank, it takes sometime to process in and of itself so when funds finally clears your bank, the funds will go back to your PayPal balance and then gets automatically transferred back to your bank.
