Automatic payment method

I need to set up automatic payment on ebay but always get an error

"Sorry, we weren’t able to set up preapproved payments at this time.

Please return to the merchant and choose another way to pay"

What do I need to do now?

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!

Please ensure the email address registered on your PayPal account has been added correctly when you setting up the pre-approved payment on eBay. You will also need to add and confirm a bank/card to your PayPal account before the pre-approved payment can be created.
