I have a buyer who paid by echeck. Initially, the payment was pending for 3 days. I then received a notice from paypal stating that they expected the echeck to clear in 9 days. Within hours I received a message from the buyer stating they had straightened it out with their bank and the payment is cleared now. They attached a screenshot of what appeared to be the cleared payment. I double checked through ebay and then paypal that both said the payment was expected to clear in 9 days. I am not supposed to send the product until payment clears, but the buyer seems to be absolutely certain that the payment has cleared. How can I resolve this without getting negative feedback?
I wouldn't worry too much about an odd red dot on a website !!!!
However the buyer may well have shown you that the funds have left his bank account but that does not mean that you have received the funds.
Paypal use the slowest transfer option so as its an echeque and you are not credited in advance as with other methods then the funds have to go via ACH clearing in batches and clear 'around' the date that you are given.
