Cart Shows Wrong Item in Notification Email

On a website I created for a client, I changed an item's button code about 3 months ago to display a new item and price. Now when a buyer receives their "Notification of payment received" email, the item in question still shows the old item and price, almost like it's being cached somehow. I have tried changing the code several times but it has no effect.

 

Any idea how to fix this? My client is getting angry... 😞
