Trying to get a simple answer, is there a way to pay an Amazon purchase using PayPal credit. All responses coming up are well over a year old. Is anything ever updated here?

Well its updated if someone asks the question again AND if a volunteer gives up their time to answer any politely asked questions.

Only if you actually provided an update, which you did not do.

Why should I bother to do that?

How many folks have you helped on this forum, giving up your own time to do so?

Why should you bother to help someone on a service you are listed as an adviser for? Erm, you are an adviser, so surely that's why?

If you didn't want to help, you didn't need to comment to the original post and waste both of our time.

None so far as I've literally started using this community for assistance. Didn't realise I had to help other people with information I don't have before being allowed to seek information I need. Maybe you should put that in your recruitment info and see how many people join up.

I don't have recruitment info why would I if i don't work for paypal?

And you don't have to help on here if you don't want to.

I give advice everyday to folks on here and happy to do so BUT i don't help those that are rude and tell me to 'update' threads when the person asking the question has had their reply.

I don't have to update anything, I don't have to post on here at all if I don't want to.

What I do is give up my own time to try and help other users of this forum..........ones that ask politely that is.

Well the original post was not rude at all so unless you are referring to another engagement with that specific user on a different thread? Otherwise your comment seemed like the rude one among the two.

It was not made clear that they had received an anwser as this was a fresh thread.

I'm sure a lot of people appreciate you giving up your time to help with these issues but judging by the original thread alone, this user was not rude, hence why I added that what you provided on here was not an update at all just a rather sarcastic response.

As for recruitment, you don't work for paypal but no adviser does. That doesn't mean you haven't voluntarily been recruited to help people and as such your responses will either encourage or discourage others from helping and therefore becoming volunteers or not.

I'm sure you would rather there be more people giving up their time so that you can deal with less repetitive questions being asked and have more time to yourself. Sharing the burden is usually a preferred method of helping each other.

This is a user to user help forum, so by having a go at volunteers that DO help on here to 'update posts' when you don't do it yourself is a tad rude isn't it.

Also these threads are individual threads belonging to the person that asks the question and so DO NOT need updating, you just ask your own question.

If you want things updated then use the HELP pages that the moderators DO update.
