PayPal says that I will get £20 for applying to PayPal Credit and spending £40. But then says, in the finer print, it applies to the first 3000 applicants. This is misleading surely? Either we get it or we don't. What is correct? Does anyone know?

You get it if you are one of the first 3000 !!
Not sure how that is misleading to be honest.

So why do they assert that you will get it? You only get it if you are one of the 3000 but on their headlines they say"you will get £20". That is misleading because it is conditional.

Yep most business do that, its called advertising.
That is why when you see posters it look great and then you read the small print at the bottom for terms and conditions.
