I need an answer ASAP emergency

Hi i sold something on ebay and the buyer is being really weird and making me jump through hoops. they specifically wanted me to send a paypal request. i got an email stating the transaction was "cleared" and that i needed to send proof or receipt of shipment before i get the money. I have yet to actually see any spendable money, my account just continues to say "request pending." Is this guy trying to scam me? Is this normal? I dont want to buy this shipping label (thats expensive) with my own money, he sent me the money for it. Please help, Ive never requested money before. Thank you.

Scam. You have not been paid. Unpaid Invoices and money requests are marked "Pending".

Say "sorry, I do not see payment, if you have a transaction ID number to give me, I can verify payment with PayPal." They'll leave you alone.

I sent them the message and they didn't respond, then I called PayPal and asked them how many emails they've sent me and they said 1 (the confirmation emaill 😬😭 so that email about it being cleared was fake! This guy should go to jail. Thank you for your reply and help!
