Account restricted text

Recieved a text message that my account was restricted. Stupidly followed the link and came up as a PayPal page, logged in and carried on being stupid and followed the "instructions" to sort account. Submitted name etc and bank details already linked to my actual PayPal account and then it sent me to the paypal login screen. My question... once I realised it initially redirected me to PayPai, and not PayPal, it was too late. What action do I need to take or report to someone to attempt to rectify this temporary stupidity. Thanks in advance.

Hi @tmoore28,

I'm sorry to hear that you were the victim of a spoof message. If you have submitted information, it should be considered compromised. The bank account information that you provided may potentially need to be reissued by your bank so you would have a different number. Please contact your bank to inquire about whether or not that is necessary. If you supplied any passwords, please make sure those passwords are changed as soon as possible.

I hope this helps!
