sms from 725729 paypal number

hi there i keep getting a sms from 725729 asking if i made a purchase but i cant reply from my phone.. is this a legit number

I just got the same thing today from a slightly different number. I do not have text messaging on my phone plan and this is making things very frustrating for me. The number that texted me was 72972.
