Tax deducted from the total and I am a seller from Malta

I am from Malta and sold an item to a buyer in the UK, total including postage was £10.50 ( which is not legible for paying tax to the buyer for sure ).

How come I have been deducted over £2 from the total I received?

Your paypal fee is deducted from your buyers payment before the remainder is credited to your paypal balance.
