I received an email stating my account was on hold until I verified account details. I very stupidly provided my social security number. I am VERY concerned and panicking! Has anyone else had this happen? I entered a fraud alert with Experian. Any other advice? Thanks! PS I also forwarded the email to spoof@paypal.com

@jrwrn PayPal never tells you to confirm information via a link in an email. They would direct you to the resolution centre in your paypal account or the message centre.

i realized my mistake a second too late. I saw the PayPal symbol, which I trust. I should have trusted my gut feeling when I was asked my SS#.
