I recieved a phone call from number <removed> this morning and once again this afternoon. I was unable to pick up the call, so i called them back an hour later. After i called, there was an automated lady with an american voice saying that this is paypal, and my call will be recorded. They then gave me only one option which was for negative balance even though i dont have one. I left it on hold through hold music until a lady picked up the phone. She said that i owed paypal money through one of my paypal accounts, and asked for my name and email adress since i had called them. I did not respond and she seemingly got agressive saying hello? down the phone before hanging up. I have searched this phone number up on the internet and i seem to be getting a mix of it actually being paypal debt collections and others saying its a scam number. Do you guys think this is actually paypal? I have a strong feeling it isnt, but i just want to check just to be sure.
Hi all, i am back, and i can confirm this account is a scam number.
They are pretending to either be amazon saying your amazon prime payment has declined or paypal saying you owe them money. Do not awnser their calls or call them! If they get your info they will completely wipe your bank account clean, i spoke with a paypal assistant and they said it is not a number they use.
