Paypal money transfer and bitcoin scam maybe

A dude wants to transfer me money to paypal and since he's buying something from me and some email came to me from some shiping company telling me that i need to buy bitcoin in order for transaction to work... Is this a scam?

Yes, it’s a scam. PayPal DOES NOT require you to 1) buy bitcoin, 2) buy gift cards, 3) pay a third party agent, 4) use other payment processors (moneygram, western union), 4) provide tracking number first, etc before showing your payment in your account.

 

If payment is really correctly sent, the payment will show up in your account. PayPal takes their fees, if any, before payments hit your account. Even if PayPal puts a hold on the payment.
