Online button

I got the code from PayPal for a button and pasted it on my webpage but the button does not appear just the code when I look at through my browser. I did place the same code into an HTML tester and it worked there. I talked to my hosting service Go Daddy and we upgraded the PHP to version 7.0 But that didn’t help any either. Any ideas?

By the information provided, it seems that there's an issue with your eCommerce or they editor they are using. Sure, you can test the button online in here: https://www.onlinehtmleditor.net/

Have you also tried creating the button manually? instead of using our tool? Ref: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/paypal-payments-standard/integration-guide/html-example-buy-now/

Maybe that eCommerce is adding a 'container/div' or some sort of code (css or similar) that is blocking the button to display correctly. Would you mind checking with their technical support?
