I wonder if the community could help me. I have sold an item through ebay with paypal as the payment method. It was a multi item, so more than one of the same item.

On 21st November 2019

Postage £6.50
Purchase total £96.50
Fee - £3.10
Total £93.40

Same item 10th December 2019
Postage £6.50
Purchase total £96.50
Fee- £3.58
Total £92.92

I can't understand why I have been charged more this time.

That was my first thought, but no, everything in the UK, paid for in the same currency. British Pounds.

In that case the buyer paid in sterling but was located internationally when they paid.

Happened to me on holiday, paid a seller whilst abroad and he paid a cross border fee.

Might be the case, the item is being posted to a company that seems to be some sort of shipping company for buyers abroad. That might make sense, seems pretty bad that I'm paying the fee for someone paying in my own currency from abroad though. That should have been slapped onto their payment.
