Hi Community, I received an email from PayPal saying I’ve successfully opened a new account. Shortly after another email came in saying my identity has been verified. I didn’t do any of this, so I sent all the emails to <removed>. How do I know if my identity has been stolen?

Hi @Pery-Frank,
Generally, this doesn't have anything to do with identity theft. It normally just means someone else accidentally listed your email on their account. Our customer service will need to take a closer look. Please contact our customer service for further assistance: @AskPayPal on Twitter, or Facebook Messenger:https://www.facebook.com/PayPal/, or contact PayPal Support at https://www.paypal.com/smarthelp/contact-us.
