Charge not the advertised fee

Paypal advertise for selling on eBay 2.9% + 30p fees with no hidden costs. I have just sold something for £18.5 and been charged £1.21 not 83 pence. Anyone know why this is before I attempt paypals lack of customer service. Thanks

In that case it would probably have been an international sale with higher fees ?

What does paypal have to do with what ebay is charging you??

Ebay charges you a listing fee (if appropriate) and final value fee, that fee is invoiced to you on a monthly basis and is viewed in your my ebay > account.

Paypals fee is deducted from your buyers payment before the remainder is credited to your paypal account balance.

So if you are talking about Ebays and not Paypal fee then you need to check your Ebay seller account and see how your fee was made up.

I didn't say ebay are charging the fee. I am fully aware how the ebay billing system works, this is paypal taking their cut from me receiving £18.50 into my PayPal account from an ebay sale which is not the 2.9% + 30p advertised on paypals website but more as mentioned previously
