How do I apply for a paypal access card?

Is there no way i can get a paypal access card on my business account, its insane that i keep getting offered this card reader that paypal have thrown money at

But something simple like a access card that would help my  business no end, save me swapping money about, everytime. 

I'd prefer to pay £50 for a card instead of card reader, i've contaced paypal so many times now, if you live in the USA you can get one easy, but for some reason UK customers are being excluded

Hi everyone,

I've recently applied for the PayPal access card as the benefits of it are really good as I'm able to access my money without transferring any funds to my bank account and this saves me a lot of hassle.

When I've tried and applying for the card it comes up as I am not 'eligible'.

How can I proceed to applying and successfully receiving a PayPal access card.

Has anyone ever worked out how you get the magical "invite" or what the criteria are for being invited?! I would have thought 100% verified account, linked to cards and bank accounts would suffice, but I still haven't been invited.

I would think carefully before you get one of these cards.

Ive been having nothing but constant problems, the card declines, when sufficient money.  September didnt work for 4 weeks.  People having problems with payments declining and payments still taken on mass.

Today 12/12/2014 card declined, money still debited.  Cant get through to customer services, paypal themselves would not help me as its on the card.  So £240 out of pocket and no help from paypal.

Im very close to placing a formal complaint to the financial ombudsman now, as been four months of problems now, as a service its a joke.

Ah, good to know, @nwsuk thanks for the info. appreciate it. PayPal holds a banking licence in Luxembourg, which is part of the EU, so a formal complaint to http://www.cssf.lu/en/ might get you a result. 🙂
