Hello all,
There have been quite a few topics on this issue recently so hopefully I can clear up any questions you may have on it.
Over the last week or two we have noticed an issue on customers accounts in which their previously confirmed address is now showing as unconfirmed. This is an issue we are aware of and have our engineers working to fix as soon as possible. As you can imagine, the PayPal system is very complex so we do not have a timeframe for this.
In the mean time I am sure some of you are worried about Seller Protection and how this issue impacts your coverage. In the past there was a need for a Seller to ship to a confirmed address in the Transaction Details to be covered under our Seller Protection Policy. This is now no longer needed. Shipping to a confirmed address is no longer a requirement under our Seller Protection Policy, you can post to buyer addresses in any of the 190 countries where PayPal is accepted and be covered.
For more information on our Seller Protection Policy you can click here

I misspoke about the double dip on fees but I would still like the unconfirmed problem taken care of.

Engineers working to fix this as soon as possible...since June of 2010? Seriously? PayPal, you can do better than this. I've been a member of PayPal for many years. I've been verified, confirmed, and have used PayPal as both a buyer and seller. Getting a PayPal confirmation e-mail today showing my CONFIRMED home address as unconfirmed is annoying. I hope the seller isn't put off by that error, because I was looking forward to getting this item and will be extremely unhappy if this causes a problem.

Earlier this month (June) I received an e-mail receipt showing my old address, deleted in 2006. Today I received an e-mail receipt showing my current address (confirmed in 2006) as "unconfirmed". This is a repeat of the same sequence of events three years ago. It seems as though every new batch of outsourced intern coders will re-load old information into the system. I imagine this will continue to happen every so often, as there seems to be no incentive to hire genuine local coders.

Monday I wrote (via webform) to PayPal about this issue.
Today is Friday, still no response other than an automated acknowledgement.

Great, so when a buyer complains we can site this post and hold your firm for any damages.
Better solution: admit and fix the problem. None of us has time for this. Your firm made a mistake which has gone one for months!
We have to use you (is that your excuse?) but really just fix the problem.

Another eBay purchase, and yet another "Shipping address - unconfirmed". This is irritating beyond belief. Any suggestions out there about who a person could file a complaint with about this? Since PayPal has been aware of this issue for a year or more, and there is about 36 pages of complaints about it here, but no end in sight...

For some reason, my address, which I have used for Paypal since the year dot, is now confirmed.

For what it's worth, I sent an e-mail (webform) to PayPal Customer Support and they were quickly able to figure out what was causing the incorrect status in my case. Supposedly, they took care of it and my home address will be showing as confirmed from here on out. Good luck to others who have been running into this issue.
