Payments going to old email address that I cannot access

I recently changed my email address but payments are going to the old one, which I cannot access anymore.  I deleted the old email address from my PayPal account about a week ago, then noticed that several of my completed eBay auctions are tagged "payment is being processed through PayPal."  So I added the old address to my PayPal account again and logged in that way, and sure enough there are several payments pending.

 

The trouble is, I cannot collect these payments because that email address is unconfirmed, and I cannot complete the process for confirming the email address because I have no way of accessing the old address. This is NOT a matter of the message going to a spam folder or something like that.  There is simply no way I can ever get email at that old address anymore.

 

Am I going to have to contact all of the buyers, tell them to cancel the payments, and then send them all individual invoices? I don't like the thought of doing this, as it may give the appearance that I am trying to double-bill them.

I'm actually going through the same thing right now.

I changed my primary e-mail address and when I added my previous e-mail address and tried to confirm it, I wasn't receiving my confirmation e-mail. In my case, I'm able to access my previous e-mail account, but for some reason every time I press the "confirm" link on the paypal account page, I'm not receiving anything from paypal. I also have payments received through the previous e-mail and I'm not able to access it because of this issue. Why is this happening?
