PayPal Transfer From Bank Account Taking 10 Days But Already Withdrawn Money From Bank

I transferred money from my debit bank account to my PayPal on Feb. 24th, PayPal already withdrew the money on the 26th. The funds are still nowhere to be found, except for the delivery date which is on Mar. 4th. Why does it take so long to transfer? They already have my money, its like they are using it to make money themselves before giving it back to me. Also its not like its a visa card, where the funds are virtual until I pay. It's basically cold hard cash that they just took and they can do anything they want for 7 days.

Wait until the 4th. PayPal presented request for funds from your bank and your bank sent it but its doesn't necessarily mean PayPal has it already because the bank doesn't let PayPal know the funds have left the bank. The transactions are processed in batches, having to go through various clearinghouses and bank interchanges. When adding funds PayPal uses the slowest, cheapest method. IF its after the 4th, then contact customer service to request a trace:

1. Log on.
2. Click HELP at the top menu.
3. Scroll down and click CONTACT US.
4. Scroll down to click CALL US or other contact options.

Keep in mind that you don't need to add funds to pay with PayPal, you may instead select a linked funding source at checkout.

I transferred money from my debit card to my prepaid card via PayPal. Took nine days to process the transfer. I called my bank and they said to use another method next time.
