Due to Regulatory requirements all financial institutions (like PayPal) have to collect sender’s identifying information, such as Taxpayer Identification Number, a physical street address or date of birth when performing certain actions on your PayPal account.
By providing this information to us, you are helping us to meet our regulatory obligations. This also helps us to get to know you better and increases the overall security of our community. This is part of PayPal’s Customer Identification Program (CIP).
