Can I add a German Bank account to PayPal? I'm a Cyprus resident.

Hello Guys,
Thank you for viewing this topic. My PayPal account has been disabled temporarily. PayPal ask's for my ID card and a bank statement. I live in Cyprus as an expat. Since I'm an EU resident, It is easy for me to live and work in Germany. I do so. I have a bank account in Germany and I want to add that bank account to PayPal to verify. Is there any restriction on it? My PayPal account country is Cyprus but I want to add a German bank account to verify. 

Since PayPal asked for my National ID card, I provided my national ID card issued by my home country where PayPal is not supported. Would PayPal accept my national ID card? I also want to send a statement of my German bank. Won't they accept it?

PayPal accounts are country specific so its best to open a German PayPal account to link a German bank account. Besides, US bank accounts are the only bank accounts allowed to be linked to Cyprus PayPal accounts, otherwise you have to link a credit, debit, or prepaid card to withdraw from PayPal in Cyprus.

After you complete the identity verification for the Cyprus PayPal, open a German PayPal account:

https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/account-selection

You can keep the Cyprus account open if you have a residence there too.
