PAYPAL customer serve-less

PAYPAL used to be such a great way to send and receive money safely and efficiently. You could trust the company to handle your transactions with little or no issues. 

But, it seems that lately PAYPAL has declined to the point where, after almost 10 years using it, I am now considering closing my account. 

Every time you call in for any issue, you reach some third wolrd call center, since PAYPAL has outsourced to the phillipines. You reach people who haven't got a clue on what's going on, are about as helpful as a hammer in the back of the head and either don't listen to you or can't understand what the hell you're saying as you have to repeat yourself 30 friggin' times before they get it. 

When you DO get them to understand what you're calling about, you get the same answer. And, the answer you get is EXACTLY what you can read for yourself on the website. It's like they're reading your account to you verbatim. When you tell them that's what they're doing, they tell you no, you're mistaken and continue reading your account information to you. 

And Gods help you if you as to escalate to a supervisor. Expect to sit on hold (like I just did) for over 45 minutes before a supervisor can get on the phone and speak to you with such a condescending tone of voice, you wish you were standing right there so you could smack them. 

When did PAYPAL suddenly stop giving a crap about the customers? Sure, save a buck. Send the support offshore, elminate jobs at home, **bleep** your customers off and eventually wind up with a reputation somewhere akin to SPRINT. 

End result-I am extremely disappointed with PAYPAL and will most likely be closing my account when this newest of issues regarding thier customer care-less team gets sorted out.

I recently had some fraudulent charges on my account...I'm very good at budgeting and keeping track of payments going in and out....I had a negative 150.00 charge on my account that I was not responsible for....in the debit department I got a woman on the line who wouldn't allow me to speak and acted very frustrated ,...she told me ...we paid the fraud transactions for you , we had to get our money back from someone....yea ME I do use paypal since I do a lot of transaction on it...I also removed my bank account as back up and I take funds out as soon as I get them ...heads up everyone...and be careful ! Paypal in my opinion isn't living up to its safety requirements and its getting a bad reputation lately !!!

I do not feel my question/s were adequately understood - much less answered.

I just want to say that I have been trying to close my account for MONTHS. I never use it. I receive fees every month for no reason. I have settled all these fees yet I still cannot close my account. There is no one to email to regarding this...and when I call, paypal has me on hold for half an hour plus....Utterly ridiculous. Borderline scam

I purchased a paypal cash card.  I tried to load the card to my paypal account and it would not let me.  Paypal sent me an e-mail requesting proof of my SSN, I e-mail them a copy of my SS card.  Then I they said that I needed to send them proof of my address and a copy of my State ID to prove who I was.  I feel as though this is really ridiculous.  All of this to try to add money to your account, when all of this information should have been asked for when you first open account.  Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and what was the resolution.

I spent almost 2 hours on phone with paypal, CANT understand  a damm word they are saying, telling me im wrong, transfering me everywhere, 3-way calling with ebay, and still got no answers. customer service is **bleep** poor,  I have NEVER had such a hard time just trying to find out my balance. paypal **bleep** and their days are numbered with me, thinking about closeing my account as these un-american *bleep* are done with playing games with MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my second round with paypal and paypal prepaid, paypal prepaid will not accept my new mastercard, but paypal does. how can this be? spent 8 days on phone, placed on hold over 6 1/2 hours, transfered 7 times, had 6 0r 7 three way calls, been told im wrong, called a liar, hung up on, had " METABANK" added to account, had it deleted,  nothing will ever work when you cant understand a dam word their saying, they dont understand english, and really dont give a dam. paypal and paypal prepaid are the most unamerican mother @#$%+@!  I have ever had to deal with. just pay your fees and shut the #$%& up is what paypals all about !!!!!

Called Paypal earlier today for help with Merchant Account. Been on hold for 2.5 hours so far. Unfortunately, not satisfied with Cuatomer Service so far. Fingers crossed they can help if/when I actually get a human on the phone!
