PAYPAL used to be such a great way to send and receive money safely and efficiently. You could trust the company to handle your transactions with little or no issues. But, it seems that lately PAYPAL has declined to the point where, after almost 10 years using it, I am now considering closing my account. Every time you call in for any issue, you reach some third wolrd call center, since PAYPAL has outsourced to the phillipines. You reach people who haven't got a clue on what's going on, are about as helpful as a hammer in the back of the head and either don't listen to you or can't understand what the hell you're saying as you have to repeat yourself 30 friggin' times before they get it. When you DO get them to understand what you're calling about, you get the same answer. And, the answer you get is EXACTLY what you can read for yourself on the website. It's like they're reading your account to you verbatim. When you tell them that's what they're doing, they tell you no, you're mistaken and continue reading your account information to you. And Gods help you if you as to escalate to a supervisor. Expect to sit on hold (like I just did) for over 45 minutes before a supervisor can get on the phone and speak to you with such a condescending tone of voice, you wish you were standing right there so you could smack them. When did PAYPAL suddenly stop giving a crap about the customers? Sure, save a buck. Send the support offshore, elminate jobs at home, **bleep** your customers off and eventually wind up with a reputation somewhere akin to SPRINT. End result-I am extremely disappointed with PAYPAL and will most likely be closing my account when this newest of issues regarding thier customer care-less team gets sorted out.
