I'm new to Etsy and PayPal. I just spent hours entering items into the Etsy website. Do I have to enter them again into PayPal or is there a way to cross over?

No, your product data is stored with Etsy. PayPal simply processes the payments for you, but as far as I know you don't need to create any products and/or buttons through the PayPal website if you're using Etsy.
Etsty has a few articles on using PayPal in their system. Take a look at http://www.etsy.com/help/article/224 and http://www.etsy.com/help/article/225
