can some one give me some advice i sold a snap on impact ait gun on ebay on the 19th november it now turns out the card that was used to buy the item was a fraudulent one and item was delivered to a confirmed address but paypal doing what they want have charged my account back for the amount of £239 and my account is now in the red how can paypal do this advise please

If you were subject to a chargeback then you may have had seller protection, if you haven't been reimbursed then go and read up on seller protection to see where you may have missed out.

surly its paypals job to do the checks all iv done is what iv been asked to do send to verified address

They 'give' you seller protection but its up to you to read up on what coverage that gives you so you can risk assess your transactions.
