False claim made against me.

I recently sold second hand children’s toys which payment for was received through paypal. These toys were advertised as second hand and clear pictures were shown of any damages. The buyer has now filed a complaint against me saying they are not as described and damaged and wishes for a refund. Looking at previous posts and stories paypal are likely to side with the buyer, is there anything I can do if that happens?

Request a return of toys for a refund. Sellers are not protected from Significantly Not As Described (SNAD) claims under PayPal Seller Protection program (only Item Not Received or Unauthorized Payment), unless the buyer let's it be known that it was a buyer's remorse reason which they didn't. But by all means give all the proof showing the used condition of the toys, you never know you might win, but be prepared for PayPal to rule in favor of the buyer and you're forced to accept a return and refund the buyer upon receipt of return. If the buyer returns an empty envelope or bricks or to a different return address, report the buyer for abuse of the buyer protection program.

File report and submit to PayPal at: https://www.actionfraud.police.uk

If you can report mail fraud at your post office, do that too and submit it to PayPal.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

eBay buyer bid, bought, paid and the item was delivered.  I have a 'no returns' policy.

Buyer then contacts eBay saying "Just don't like it" in the eBay return request.  The return request was denied by eBay as it qualifies as buyer's remorse.

Buyer then files a PayPal complaint falsely claiming  the item is not as described.

I have provided PayPal with a screen shot of eBay's return request denial, and that should be that, but the claim remains on my account.

Is it possible for PayPal to rule for a buyer who didn't pay attention to the 'no returns' policy, and who then lied about the reason for the PayPal claim?
