My old email address is still showing in transactions even though I've already removed it years ago

When I was in my late teens, I created a Paypal account using a really dumb email address, example - [removed]. Eventually I added a new email address that was much more professional and made it my primary email, then deleted the original email address

However I continue to get references made to my original email address. For example if someone sends me money on Paypal, I'd get an email notification indicating "You received $20 from Tom". And it'll detail the money was sent to [removed]. when it should actually be listing my new email address.

I've also had people say that when I send them money on Paypal, it'll indicate the money was sent from my original email address too. Which is not professional when I've had to send coworkers money for shared lunches, etc.

To be clear, the only existing email address on the account is my new email which is set to be the primary as well. I've no clue where my old email keeps getting referenced to, and I'd rather not open a new PayPal account as I've got quite a few friends and family on it already.
