I need to downgrade my business account to a personal one, as any and all transactions have bene frozen on my account until I provide business registration. I, however, am not a business.
I've been trying for about a month to contact support but haven't gotten very far.
I tried the paypal function for business and I do not have my MCC numbers yet, so i need to turn my account back to personal for the time being and I will upgrade later. Sadly I cannot find how to do it, whatever I try to do in my account Paypal just forwards me to complete the business set up and I sadly do not have the information yet. How can I resolve this?
There is no automatic way to downgrade a business account to a personal account, you have to contact customer services and they will do that for you.
Click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.
Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter? You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages. It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter. OR You could just close your business account (removing all subscriptions / financial info etc first) and open a personal one.

This has been incredibly frustrating from hold times over an hour and multiple transfers and disconnections. This has been by far the worst PP interaction. All I want to do is change my account to a personal account. It has been over two weeks and nobody can tell me why or tell me when it will be resolved
You can only downgrade a paypal account x1 in that accounts lifetime, so if you have not does so before then..........
