What is a "Gift Card Address"?

When disputing a payment, there is a collection of Gift Card Addresses I must verify. They can only be viewed when disputing a transaction, and do not show up anywhere else.

One of these addresses is for a local hardware store, where I made an online purchase linked to my bank account. I did not buy a gift card.

There is 9 of these attached to my account.

What are gift card addresses? Where are they coming from?

I am in Australia, with Australian ID and Australian banking details attached to my paypal account.

I got an answer. They took several hours between responses, and wanted a screenshot to prove what I was asking for actually exists. Here's the answer:

Gift address or gift card address happens when you manually enter an address upon checkout rather than letting PayPal automatically choose an address for you.

It also happens when you type a different address format or another address as your shipping address apart form the one we have in the system.

Did you make this purchase?

Feel free to reply whenever you're ready and we'll reply as soon as we can.

When purchasing via click and collect eg. Bunnings Warehouse (Australia), the address of the Bunnings is added as a gift card address also.
