PayPal App authentication using PIN is broken

Hi,

I want to use PIN authentication to log in to the Android PayPal App. However my PIN is always declined with message "Please check your information and try again" (I'm using the correct PIN btw)

 

Any suggestions for how to get the PayPal to accept the PIN as valid? I've tried disabling and re-enabling the option in the security settings with no effect.

I'm sorry to hear that your PIN for your account is not working. I understand how concerning and frustrating this would be. 

 

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled the app? If not, I suggest doing this. Also, I see that you've stated you disabled and reenabled the feature within your security settings. Have you tried changing the PIN when doing this? If you haven't, you may want to do this after reinstalling the app.

Hi,

 

The PIN change option wasn't available to me via the Security menu, so I wasn't able to try your suggestion. 

 

I fixed the problem by clearing all app data, uninstalling then re-installing the app (although previous experience shows that this doesn't 100% always fix the problem). This time however the PIN is accepted and the Pin change is again visible where it should be. Please report this to the dev team so they can fix it, it's been a problem with the Android app for some time now.
