A second telephone call to PayPal fixed the problem, although I've no idea what the second support assistant did that the first couldn't. This shouldn't have to be so difficult, especially when out of me, PayPal and Monzo it's just me that isn't doing anything wrong. It'd be really helpful if PayPal and Monzo could get on the phone to each other to sort it out.

Hi, The PIN change option wasn't available to me via the Security menu, so I wasn't able to try your suggestion. I fixed the problem by clearing all app data, uninstalling then re-installing the app (although previous experience shows that this doesn't 100% always fix the problem). This time however the PIN is accepted and the Pin change is again visible where it should be. Please report this to the dev team so they can fix it, it's been a problem with the Android app for some time now. Tony

Hi, I want to use PIN authentication to log in to the Android PayPal App. However my PIN is always declined with message "Please check your information and try again" (I'm using the correct PIN btw) Any suggestions for how to get the PayPal to accept the PIN as valid? Hi,
I'm trying to transfer funds from my Monzo account to PayPal. I can neither link the Monzo account as a bank from the "Bank accounts and cards" section of my PayPal Wallet (error from PayPal is "We're sorry. We're not able to process your request right now. Please check your information and try again" - I have checked my information and tried again, same error"); nor can I transfer from Monzo to PayPal via my PayPal sort code and account number, error from Monzo is "<amount> payment to PayPal declined. Check the account number and sort code" - also checked and tried again, etc.
My account details (name etc) match where required.
Any suggestions for how to complete the transfer? Thanks!

Fixed! These are the steps I took, although there might be a quicker route: - uninstall app - re-install app - go to phone settings, then Apps, select PayPal, click Storage - click Clear Data (you'll get a warning about losing any logins, temporary data etc), confirm to proceed - login in to PayPal app, reset PIN option should appear in Security settings This may not require the uninstall/re-install, but that's how I got there. Hi - Thanks for the reply @PayPal_david I've logged into my PayPal account on my PC but I can't find a "remove mobile device" option - can you tell me where in my Settings I should find it? The closest I could find was "remove mobile number" which I tried, then reinstalled the app, but no change - I can't change my PIN in the mobile app and the app still refuses my usual PIN. Hi - the PayPal mobile app on Android has recently decided that my login PIN is wrong, despite it working fine previously and not being changed. I can't see where in the app to reset the PIN (having logged in with my usual password). It's not in Settings/Login and Security, and activating the "Use PIN" switch doesn't prompt for a new PIN. I've tried an un/reinstall with no effect.
The suggestion at https://www.paypal.com/uk/smarthelp/article/how-do-i-enable-pin-login-from-paypal's-mobile-app-ts2167 directs me to an option that doesn't exist, namely Settings/Login and Security/Change your PIN.
Any suggestions for how to re-enable PIN login? Thanks!
