How to confirm my account country status and or change it to the USA business account.

I created an account while in Saudi. I should have had everything set up as a Paypal, USA as a business account. How can I make sure that I have my account set up as an American account? Can I convert the account as an USA Paypal account?

Do you maintain a US residence? Because you’ll need US based billing address, phone, tax ID number, US bank acct, etc to open a US account.

PayPal accounts are country specific. They can’t be converted to another country from another so you’ll need to close the Saudi account.

Hi, I'm in a similar situation. My Paypal account is from USA but now I'm goint to move to Spain. I read, I had to close my actual Paypal account and create a new one based in Spain BUT since I'll keep the USA bank accounts and cards for at least one year, I would like to keep those  USA accounts & cards working. Is that posible? Or can I add USA accounts & cards to my new Paypal account in Spain?   THANKS

Welcome! Since you plan on keeping your US financials active while you transition to Spain, I'd recommend opening your Spanish account with a separate email address. That way, both your accounts can be open at the same time. However, keep in mind you may not be able to fully utilize your US account while traveling internationally.

For clarification... Can I have 2 PayPal accounts in 2 different countries, using 2 different emails addresses...? If so, that would be a temporary solution while finish moving to Spain...

Thank you for taking the time to post. In this situation, if you are residing between two countries, you will want to open a PayPal account for each location. This can be done by utilizing a different email address and will allow PayPal usage while traveling between the two. I hope this helps offer clarification and assistance.
