This so-called Ask The Community is a paid-for SERVANT of PayPal. They do not EXIST in reality. Not one single answer have I seen. Not only that, they tell 'LIES' specially their so-called Call Centre staff based in the Far East. 'Lie' after daily 'Lie' !! Why the hell is it that PayPal make it such a difficult task to CLOSE an Account? Speaks volumes !!

Yep.  I have the same issue and posted about it on this forum.  Got one generic unhelpful response.  Still unable to cancel my account.

And the worst part of kickstarting a New Account after the immense difficulties I had closing my Account in March 2022 which in the end I had to raise with the Financial Conduct Authority, because EVERY avenue of PayPal is a TOTAL waste of time. From their comical mouthpiece here called Ask The Community more apt to call them Crap From The Community, to their Managing Director hiding away in Luxembourg !!

 

For 20 plus years I had an impeccable Pay in 3 record. Yet, I am denied this in my new Account. Can I get help here in the Community? Not a cat's chance in hell!! 

 

That's why it is pointless having a PayPal account. It is absolute GARBAGE!!!
