Changing my account name after a legal name change?

I recently legally changed my first name/gender marker due to legal gender transition. My new ID shows my new name, as well as new photo that decidedly looks like a different person from my old ID photo because of hrt. Will it be accepted by paypal to change my account name, or should I make a new account outright?
