Bank Account Verification

Upon trying to withdrawn money from my paypal account for the first time I have been told my bank account will need additional verification by fax, asking me to send a copy of my bank statement showing the two transactions from paypal and photo ID.

Firstly, I have the account varified so, I assume this is the transaction for that verification? but for some reason I am unable to find it in my records. Is there a record of the date my account was verified?

Secondly,I do not have any real access to a fax machine so is this possible by another means.

Hi there Meles,

Welcome to the Community!

Sometimes customers may be asked to provide some additional account verification through their PayPal account. If you don't have access to a fax machine, you can try uploading the documentation through your account if you have a scanner or digital camera.

Do you know if there is a limitation currently on your account? If there is, you will be able to upload documentation through the Resolution Centre on your account. If there isn't, you can try following the steps below to upload the documentation through your account.

Please contact us by following these steps:

(Please be advised that this is a workaround and you will not need to change the name on your account through this process):

1. Log in to www.paypal.co.uk

2. Click 'Help'

3. Click the link 'Ask Louise'.

4. Type 'How do i change the name on Personal/Premier Account' on the virtual chat then click submit.

5. On Louise's response, click 'Secure Form'.  (this opens up a new page)

6. Select the first option then continue

7. Click Upload Files.

8. To upload your documentation, click 'Browse.'

9. Select the file you want to attach.

10. Click 'Open.'

11. Click 'Attach this File.' Information about your file appears under the Attachments box.

12. Repeat as many times as required, up to a total file size of 5000kb.

13. Click 'Send Files to PayPal' to submit.

Once you have uploaded the documents through this page, please try contacting customer services directly and we will be able to assist you further.

David.

Thanks for the info, but I still need to find the codes from when the account was verified initially, as I don't seem to be able to request for a second verification code.
I need to know when that initial verfication happened to find my statement from the time.
