No, socialists like you caused this economy. The idea that everyone has the right to own their own home, have free or inexpensive healthcare, have a big screen TV caused this economy. The fact that people can make 7 or 8 figures is what made this country great. But if you want the government telling people how they can make, your going to get your wish with the current crowd in Washington. Wait until they run all of the successful out of the country and see what happens to the economy then, you'll have equality alright, equal misery. Better hope they don't come for you.
I can confirm that Paypal will "hold" fund for sellers on E*Bay like that doing with mine, but I believe that is only for new sellers with no previous selling history.
They'll show your funds as a balance, but not available until your buyer gives you a "positive" feedback, or they try to hold onto it for 21 days...
Total bull**bleep**, but I can understand for us new sellers, so that we don't just make a new account, take the money, then vanish...
that is not true. I've been using Ebay for over 10 years and have an excellent feedbacks. They randomly take 10% or more of your payment received in reserve account and hold 60 days. Recently, balance in reserve account disappeared and I have been trying t o get it back. What a hassle.. When economy is so tight, we need every penny , Waht they are doing should be illegal anyway!
WRONG! I had just short of 400 reviews with 100% satisfaction. They wouldn't quit holding my money and now they won't release it even though I have closed my e-bay account and refuse to do business with either e-bay or Pay Pal. They tell me they will LET ME CLOSE MY ACCOUNT ONCE THEY RELEASE MY MONEY!!!! Pay Pal and e-bay are a bunch of crooks if you ask me. Irene

i have been using paypal for years now and i have never had this problem... i wonder if there is something that is being misunderstood on how to use paypal or an option or back up source or something... i dont know but i have never had a problem with them holding my money... ?????

The HOLDING funds/payments Sounds like a EBAY.COM issue with what I read from owners-members.I run work of a SHIPPING site USHIP.COM as a 4year SERVICE provider as A CARRIER--TRUCKING company and I take PAPAL for payments Almost weekly for LARGE sum and small amounts ONLY hold I have had if they FUNDING is from a Checking account 3-7days AT worst now I did have A Canadian SHIPMENT payment too 10-13days to CLEar WERE THE FUNDS WERE PUT ON HOLD THEN HOPE you all understand DIVERSIFY /OFFER better cheaper--SHIPPING .. VIA BIDDING process/ format .A small piece or a TRUCk-TRAILER-ANTIQUES/HOUSE MOVE items .THESE ALONG could lead to help DRAW MORE possible buyers.. That is because you are buying and not selling. Paypal will hold 10% or more of your payment received and hold for 60 days in reserve account. That should be illegal. In case of any dispute, it is the Seller who will have to reimburse the money to the Buyer, not Paypal. It is an excuse to hoard up millions of dollars that way.
Please, with the "write your congressman" crap. If you don't like it, excercise your constitutional right to not do business with them. That's how it works in a free market, Washington is already way to involved in our lives, and they **bleep** up everything they touch. If Ebay and Paypal are a bad deal, the market will take care of it and they will go away.
I agree. I am composing letters. I am told that contacting the Attorney General's is a good step. I know they have an office in California and one other state. I am from Oregon and am sending complaints to the Attorney General, my representatives, the Better Business Bureau, 60 Minutes and Lars Larson for starters. We need to put some energy into correspondence that exposes the specific injustices that we have been subjected to. The squekie (sp?) wheel really does get greased. I worked with State Government for years and a few vocal individuals really can make a difference. Irene
