payment not showing up in transaction area

Hello!  I hope someone can help.  I made a purchase and used paypal to pay for the purchase.  I went through the process and it seemed everything went through just fine, but the transaction isn't listed at all and I didn't receive any email confirmations.

Is this normal, does it take a while to show up?  I haven't used paypal in ages, but I seem to remember being notified pretty soon after that I made a payment and it always showed up on my account information page.

I just wanted to add...under "my recent activity" is says "no new items".

Good morning.  This has happened to me twice in the past few weeks; am now about to pay for one item for the THIRD time.  Did you receive any responses?  Have you talked to Paypal customer service?   I'd like to know what is going on.  Incidentally, although ebay has started a new policy, starting the unpaid items claim process if an auction is not paid in 3 days, they haven't done so with this one; in fact, this latest problem item has disappeared from my "WON" list altogether!  I would not have realized it was missing or showing as unpaid except the seller emailed me about it!  Bizarre.  Please let me know if you have learned anything new.
